At Paint It! Color Consulting, every service is designed to simplify the color selection process and help you feel confident in your choices. I don’t just recommend colors — I consider your lighting, fixed elements, and personal style to create a palette that feels tailored and timeless.
Whether in-person or virtual, each consultation includes meaningful value to make the process easier and more successful for you.
🎨 My Approach to Choosing Paint Colors
Choosing paint colors can feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to be. I believe the best results come from collaboration, clarity, and connection. Before we look at a single paint swatch, I want to understand how you see your space, what inspires you, and what you naturally gravitate toward.
With so many styles, finishes, and undertones available today, our first goal is to narrow the field based on your likes, dislikes, and design goals. Whether you’re going for warm and welcoming, fresh and modern, or calm and neutral — your vision sets the tone.
I conduct both interior and exterior consultations using the Sherwin Williams color line, and help ensure the palettes we consider are in harmony with the fixed elements of your home — things like countertops, flooring, roof, stone, or brick.
Once we’ve honed in on a direction, we’ll compare options using professional fan decks and my collection of extra-large 8.5” x 11” sample boards, so you can truly see how the colors shift in your lighting.
Pricing
In-Person Color Consultation
Interior, Exterior, or Both
$450 – Up to 2 hours
This is a hands-on, on-site color consultation where we evaluate your space in real time to ensure all selections work cohesively with your home’s fixed elements, including flooring, countertops, cabinetry, roofing, and natural lighting.
Using full-size Sherwin Williams sample boards, we will narrow down and finalize paint colors that create a balanced, cohesive result throughout your space.
Includes:
- On-site color selection using professional sample boards
- Evaluation of all fixed finishes and lighting conditions
- Finalized paint color recommendations for your project
After your consultation, you will also receive:
- Mailed 8.5” x 11” samples of your selected paint colors
- Up to 15 minutes of follow-up clarification via phone or text
If additional consultation time is needed beyond the initial appointment, it is billed at the standard consulting rate of $250 per hour.
Virtual Color Consultation
$250 per hour (1-hour minimum)
Virtual consultations offer the same professional guidance in a remote format for clients outside the local service area or those who prefer virtual support.
Prior to your session, you will send photos of your space along with any relevant fixed elements (flooring, countertops, cabinetry, etc.). We will then review your space and discuss color direction in detail.
Includes:
- Real-time consultation via phone, FaceTime, text, or email
- Professional color recommendations based on your space and lighting
- Use of real-world color combinations from curated paint boards
- Clear direction for all selected paint colors
After your consultation, you will also receive:
- Mailed 8.5” x 11” samples of your final paint selections
- Up to 15 minutes of follow-up clarification via phone or text
Additional consulting time beyond the initial session is billed at $250 per hour.
